Tyreinvader is an anti-pinch insert for tubeless tires. Lightweight and very simple to use, it protects rims and tires in the event of strong impacts without interfering with driving sensations.
\n
Available in different widths, to adapt to wheels for cyclocross application, to Gravel to Plus.
\n
Those who pedal aggressively on rocky paths would often want to reduce the inflation pressure to increase traction and comfort, but cannot do so because of the risk of pinching the tire in the event of an impact, perhaps even damaging the rim. It is in this case that the anti pinching inserts (commonly known as “sausages”) can be useful. These products fit inside the tubeless tires and absorb large impacts, protecting the rim and tire. With Tyreinvader we want to offer an excellent and simple solution, with low price and weight.
\n
Light
\n
The weights shown for the various Tyreinvaders sizes refer to the uncut product (for 29 “wheels), so it is even lower when fitted to 27.5” or 26 “wheels.
\n
Tyreinvader 35 = 48 g
\n
Great durability thanks to high-level materials
\n
Tyreinvader is made of EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate), a closed cell polymer commonly used for the soles of running shoes, capable of very high shock absorption and great durability.
\n
We recommend checking Tyreinvader once a year or after demanding riding sessions, and replacing it if necessary.
\n
Designed to work with sealants
\n
The EVA has a closed cell structure and cannot absorb sealant, thus leaving it free inside the tire.
\n
In addition, the openings on Tyreinvader allow the sealant to move easily, so that the punctures can be repaired by the liquid.
\n
In any case, given that the inserts have surfaces that are wetted by the sealant, a fraction of the latter is not available for repairing the holes. For this reason – even with Tyreinvader – we recommend increasing the quantity of quote normally inserted by 30 ml.
\n
The openings in the Tyreinvader allow the sealant to move freely within the cavity of the tire, which is much more difficult in the presence of solid inserts in the shape of a “sausage”.
\n
Tyreinvader has been designed to work with the ammonia-free Cafflatex sealant.
\n
Easy to assemble
\n
Just cut Tyreinvader following the instructions (for 27.5 and 26 ; no need to cut for 29 ), join its two ends with the two clamps (supplied), mount it inside the tire (it will stretch a little to adapt to the circumference), add the sealant, and you are ready to pedal. Our technical videos can clarify any doubts about it.
\n
If necessary, Tyreinvader can be mounted on the wheel without a tire, to allow it to stretch and facilitate subsequent assembly.
\n
‘Run flat’ operation (without pressure)
\n
Tyreinvader has been sized to remain tight on the rim, so as to push the tire against the rim in an emergency, thus allowing you to travel short distances in the absence of pressure. This mode of operation must be considered exceptional, as we do not recommend intentionally using Tyreinvader with a completely deflated tire.
\n
Compatible with any tubeless valve
\n
The shape of Tyreinvader and a specific opening to be positioned at the valve make inflation always easy, with any tubeless valve. No specific tubeless valves are needed.
\n
Reduced influence on driving sensations
\n
Tyreinvader is flat and only comes into action when needed (as opposed to round section inserts that are often compressed during normal pedaling). However, we recommend testing Tyreinvader before using it competitive.
\n
We do not encourage the use of lighter tires or pressures much lower than those commonly used: simply Tyreinvader allows you to use the desired pressure without worrying about pinching.
\n
Functional packaging
\n
Tyreinvader is sold in pairs (therefore 2 pieces per pack, including 4 clamps to assemble them), inside a transparent bag. This bag can be used to store Tyreinvader in case you need to remove it, to avoid staining with the sealant. It can also be for other purposes, such as shopping or carrying small items.
\n
What about the little aliens and the video game character?
\n
Who doesn’t remember SpaceInvaders? Even those who are too young to do so, can rediscover this progenitor of the history of video games thanks to retrogaming. And in any case our product – by type – actually invades the tire, so “Tyreinvader” is appropriate.
\n
The alien-shaped cutouts on the Tyreinvader profile serve several purposes: to save weight, to allow the sealant to move easily and why not, to give it an unmistakable appearance.
