One of our all-time favourite cycling photographs is ofa very wetfinish of the 1989 World Championships that were held on a very tough circuit in Chambry, France.

One of the last championships to be held in August, Greg Lemond was crowned a worthy World Champion completing the rare Tour de France/Worlds double.
