The Shimano RT-CL700 Disc Brake Rotor is a 2-piece centerlock rotor that has been designed to provide powerful and consistent braking over any terrain and in any weather. Shimano’s unique ICE Technology sandwiches a thin aluminum core in between the stainless steel braking surfaces; this construction more quickly dissipates heat generated during the braking process then a solid stainless steel rotor of comparable thickness. When this outer rotor is riveted to a 3D-shaped aluminum carrier, the resulting overall construction will fight off brake warp caused by excessive heat for a powerful, reliable, and smooth braking performance. Finally, several diameters are available so these rotors can be installed on a wide variety of bicycles and for most riding preferences/styles.
